Trillium Brewing Company has stood among the beer giants of Harpoon and Sam Adams as one of the rare breweries in Boston proper. Now the distinguished brewery is expanding with a Canton facility that opens Monday.
The Canton location will offer retail sales of growlers, bottles, and merchandise, along with a complimentary sampling of a rotating variety of beers—this is a new opportunity to try everything Trillium has to offer, as the Fort Point location currently does not have samples.
For the grand opening on Monday, Trillium in Canton will be open for extended hours from 12 to 7:30 p.m. and then will follow Fort Point’s hours starting Tuesday. The 16,000 square foot brewery and retail space is located at 110 Shawmut Road and will have parking.
The flagship space will continue to operate, though it will be closed Monday as all Trillium employees will join forces for the Canton opening.
The increased space will allow Trillium to keep up with the growing demand for their farmhouse saisons, barrel-aged wild ales, and their top-rated hoppy pale ale. There’s no plan for tours of the Canton brewery yet, but the space is designed with an open-air architectural concept, so you can see most areas of the brewery from the tasting rooms. Plus Trillium team members will be around to answer any questions and share all their beer knowledge.
