The diner is currently renovating and hiring for its newest location at 35 Stanhope St., right by the Back Bay MBTA station, according to a press release from the restaurant.

In addition to the kitchen’s popular menu items like the “Babe Bennie,’’ the “Sklarmageddon,’’ and, of course, anything covered in the restaurant’s maple syrup from New Hampshire, the new location will also be debuting a new drink menu.

A diner representative told Eater Boston that the new location could open as early as next week or the first week in January.

The restaurant is known for it’s eclectic decor, including life-size Barbies and bright colors, at both of its current locations. It will be keeping with that trend at the new space, according to the release, and is asking the public for decorating help. They are accepting items like “wall hangings, table lamps, hanging lamps, sugar holders’’ that have a “vintage, funky, eclectic, vibe.’’

If your item is featured in the new location, the restaurant will give you a half-priced meal.

The Friendly Toast first opened in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, more than 20 years ago. The restaurant opened its second location in Cambridge’s Kendall Square in 2009.

If you already can’t stop dreaming of the restaurant’s thick slices of cinnamon raisin or cayenne-cheddar bread, you may not be the only one.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders visited the Portsmouth restaurant on December 15, and seemed to be a fan.
