Great news for devotees of Anna’s Taqueria: The restaurant is opening another location in Newton Highlands at 27 Lincoln St., right by the Newton Highlands T station. It held a soft opening on Monday; the grand opening is on Tuesday at 8 a.m.
The new location is the company’s seventh location in the Boston area—they have already-existing locations in Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, and Boston.
Anna’s, which has served the Boston area for the past 20 years, offers a large array of Mexican dishes, from quesadillas to burritos to tacos to, of course, chips and guac (never forget the chips and guac). With a new location also comes a new dish: They’re adding salad bowls to the menu exclusively at the Newton Highlands spot given the item’s popularity as a catering option. The bowls consist of burrito fillings over lettuce, served with the restaurant’s house-made cilantro dressing and a side of corn tortillas.
All of the Anna’s locations serve breakfast (breakfast tacos!), lunch, and dinner, and the Newton Highlands spot will be no different. They’ll operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
