Over the weekend, Boston.com published a story about 11 must-try ice cream shops in Massachusetts. Our readers then took to the comments section on our Facebook page to point out some more of their favorites.

Since one can never know of too many ice creameries in Massachusetts, we collected every single suggestion for an in-state ice cream parlor that we found on that Facebook thread. Hundreds of comments were left and dozens of places were mentioned, but three local ice cream shops proved to be incredibly popular among our readers.

1. Richardson’s Ice Cream (10 mentions)

Boy, do our readers love Richardson’s. Many commenters noted that they’ve been enjoying ice cream from the Middleton-based dairy farm for years.

2. Bubbling Brook (Six mentions)

Bubbling Brook doesn’t limit itself to delicious ice cream — the Westwood restaurant also serves fried seafood and burgers, among other traditional American fare.

The Bubbling Brook Restaurant is located at 1652 High St. in Westwood.

3. Bedford Farms (Five mentions)

A small order of Mud Pie. Coffee ice cream, oreos, and fudge. ???
