Flour Bakery’s newest location is now open in Cambridge
Warm up by the fireplace in Joanne Chang’s new Cambridgeport spot.
Cambridge residents looking to escape the cold and wet weather have a new spot at which to warm up this winter. The sixth location of Flour Bakery officially opened its doors in Cambridgeport Monday morning.
Joanne Chang, the award-winning pastry chef behind Flour and South End dining spot Myers + Chang, confirmed the news on her personal Instagram.
The newest bakery, at 40 Erie St., will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s the second of three new Flour locations first announced in August. Flour’s Harvard Square spot opened November 1, and a Back Bay location situated directly behind the Prudential Center originally slated for a January opening is now expected to open in February 2017, according to Boston magazine.
