A local bakery chain known for its sticky buns will soon open its eighth Boston location.
Flour Bakery + Cafe owner and pastry chef Joanne Chang announced on Friday via Instagram that the Innovation and Design Building in the Seaport District will be the home of the new bakery.
“We are crazy about making amazing food and offering warm and welcoming service,” Chang captioned a photo of the storefront-to-be. “Our passion is making your day happier and now we have an 8th bakery to share that joy with you!”
The bakery is set to open this summer, according to Chang’s Instagram post. She told Boston.com in an email that the Flour team hopes construction will start in a month.
“We just signed the lease and are in the process of getting permits,” she wrote.
The new location will also become Flour’s new production center, The Boston Globe reports.
“It’s a huge move for us that will hopefully allow us to open up a few more Flours in Boston,” Chang told the Globe in an email.
