Those attending Boston Calling will have to make some hard decisions regarding the more than 50 performances over Memorial Day weekend. But the question of what to eat and drink while on the Harvard Athletic Complex grounds? With more than 150 options, that decision may be even harder.

In the music festival’s most extensive food lineup to date, more than 35 local vendors — 11 of which are new this year — will dish out eats ranging from sugary Belgian waffles to rice burgers filled with crispy chicken. To make your gastronomical decisions a little easier, check out five noteworthy bites that will be available this weekend.

The Smoke Shop’s BBQ Bomb

This meat lover’s dream consists of a waffle cone filled with pit beans; mac and cheese; cole slaw; and a choice of brisket, pulled pork, or smoked chicken; all topped with pickled hots and barbecue spices. The Smoke Shop will have two booths at this year’s festival, making access to this portable barbecue platter even easier.

Tasty Burger’s Tasty Dogs and Tasty Tots

Tasty Burger’s setup will include the fast food joint’s classic offerings of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, bacon cheeseburgers, and veggie burgers. But it’s worth noting that they’ll also serve up all-beef hot dogs either plain or topped with chili, and Tasty Tots that guests can order plain, topped with chili, smothered in cheese sauce, or both.

Whole Heart Provisions’ Veggie Bowls

For the health-conscious set, Whole Heart Provisions will be on hand with three veggie bowls available with a base of either greens or grains. The “Viet Style,” for example, is composed of roasted broccoli, smashed cucumber, tomato, pickled carrots, savory green beans, spicy peanut sauce, and a peanut crumble. Other items will include seared avocado with tahini, za’atar, and crispy lentils.

Cookie Dō

For festivalgoers looking to satiate their sweet tooth, one of Boston Calling’s new vendors will be able to supply the sugar rush. Cookie Dō will serve scoops of its safe-to-eat cookie dough, as well as cookies and Cookie Dō sandwiches.
