Coffee shops can be great for getting work done, and Render Coffee will take that experience to the next level with a new location in downtown Boston slated to open next week.
Render Coffee, which currently has one location on Columbus Avenue in the South End, has partnered with shared working space Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) for its expansion, which will be located at 121 Devonshire St, Render owner Chris Dadey said.
Render will have its own entrance that will be “like a front door to CIC,” Dadey said, and both companies will have access to a shared function room behind Render. The cafe will host cuppings (coffee tastings) and other events.
The downtown spot will serve only drinks and pastries, not Render’s full food menu, Dadey said. It will also offer a drip coffee program for morning commuters.
