As of Tuesday, Cambridge has one less restaurant.

West Side Lounge, located between Porter Square and Harvard Square on Mass Ave., closed its doors for the last time Monday after 16 years in business.

Boston Restaurant Talk first reported in February that owner Charlie Christopher, who also owns Mass Ave. eateries Cambridge Common and Christopher’s, was looking for a buyer for West Side Lounge. According to Eater Boston, Christopher listed the property so he could concentrate on his other two restaurants.

“It’s with sadness that we let you all know that West Side Lounge is closing today,” a West Side Lounge representative wrote on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “We want to thank our customers for 16 wonderful years, during which you all became part of our WSL family. We hope you’ll come visit your favorite West Side staff members at Cambridge Common and Christopher’s in the near future. Thanks to all of you who have made the West Side experience so memorable. A final cheers to you!”
