President Obama’s daughter reportedly has a summer job at a popular Martha’s Vineyard restaurant

Sasha Obama has spent the last week working takeout at Nancy's Restaurant and Snack Bar, according to The Boston Herald.

If you happen to visit Nancy’s Restaurant and Snack Bar in Martha’s Vineyard this week, don’t be surprised if the service at the takeout counter is accompanied by the Secret Service.

According to The Boston Herald, Barack Obama’s 15-year-old daughter Sasha has spent the last week working as a server at the popular Oak Bluffs eatery. (Worth noting, the two versions of the article published on the newspaper’s website rely on two unnamed restaurant sources and a 12-year-old named Tyler.) The restaurant could not be reached for comment.

“She’s been working downstairs at takeout,” an unnamed Nancy’s server told the Herald. “We were wondering why there were six people helping this girl, but then we found out who it was.”

The Obamas have regularly visited the island since the president took office in 2008, and the family has made a point to stop by Nancy’s several times in the past. They usually give the restaurant 10 minutes notice before eating in the dining room or picking up a takeout order, according to The Boston Globe.

“They are just a great group of people,” Nancy’s General Manager Dave Gaffey told the Globe in 2012. “[Obama] usually comes in with a large group, and they order a wide variety off the menu and kind of share that — lobster rolls, fried clams, practically one of everything.”
