Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, and if you’re still looking for a place to woo your significant other over a shared plate of pasta or a steak, consider looking to TripAdvisor. The travel site recently released a list of the 10 most romantic restaurants in Boston in 2019, and all of them are worth splurging on for a memorable date night.
Coming in at number one is Deuxave, a modern French restaurant helmed by chef Chris Coombs where lovebirds might find dishes like duck liver paté and Chilean sea bass to share. On Valentine’s Day, the Back Bay destination will offer a four-course dinner for $169, with add-ons like caviar to take the meal up a notch.
No. 9 Park is on the list at number four, which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who has stepped inside its cozy Beacon Hill digs. The exceptional service and outstanding fare at chef Barbara Lynch’s flagship restaurant have kept it at the top of most “best of” lists in Boston since it opened, and its romantic vibes are a known plus. A special six-course meal will be offered on Valentine’s Day for a cool $215 per person, which includes luxe options like poached Maine lobster and foie gras raviolo.
Oiishi Boston, a minimalist sushi bar, is number seven on TripAdvisor’s list. The Japanese restaurant opened in 1998, but clearly the charm hasn’t worn off. Diners come here for ultra-fresh fish, innovative dumplings, and specialty handrolls; for a curated experience on date night, opt for the chef’s choice of sushi and sashimi.
According to a press release from TripAdvisor, “this list is based on millions of reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor diners, with rankings derived from the quality, quantity and recency of reviews combined with the degree to which the property is romantic.” Check out the full ranked list of Boston’s 10 most romantic restaurants below:
