You won’t need a permission slip for this field trip — just plenty of water and sunscreen.
Trillium Brewing Co. recently announced the return of Field Trip, a beer festival at the brewery’s future Canton location that will bring together some of the country’s most buzzed-about breweries (plus a few international favorites) for the second year in a row. Attendees will be able to choose between two sessions (noon-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.–10 p.m.) on Saturday, August 10, when breweries from Torrance, CA (Monkish Brewing Co.), Austin, TX (Jester King), San Francisco, CA (Cellarmaker Brewing Co.) and Richmond, VA (The Veil) fill 100 Royall St. with quality pours.
There’s a style for everyone at the event: The Veil will serve both its Strong Enough IPA and a Very Berry Tastee, a smoothie-style sour ale; Fonta Flora will pour the Hoppin’ John Lagerbier and the Sedentary Reverence imperial stout; and Bottle Logic will offer its Stealth Mode blueberry tart ale and its Fundamental Observation barrel-aged imperial vanilla stout.
Tickets, which range from $50 (GA) to $100 (VIP, featuring one hour of early entry), include five drink tickets (pours are three- or five-ounces), a commemorative Trillium Field Trip 6.5-ounce glass, live entertainment, games, and access to the food trucks that will be providing sustenance throughout the event. Kids can also attend for $10, and designated driver tickets are $15. If you finish your five beer samples and are looking to try a few more, additional beer tickets may be purchased for $4 each.
