Welcome to the Back Bay, Salt Bae.

You’ve probably seen the 2017 Instagram video: Nusret Gökçe methodically slicing a slab of steak before sprinkling the meat with a pinch of salt, which seems to glitter under the Dubai sun.

In 36 seconds, Salt Bae — and “the Internet’s sexiest butcher” — was born.

Now, Gökçe is bringing his trademark flair to Boston with Friday’s opening of Nusr-Et Boston, a steakhouse located in the former Nahita space at 100 Arlington St. in the Bay Village.

Though news of the Instagram star’s Boston expansion has been circling since late 2019, Gökçe announced the upcoming debut Monday on social media.

“Please wish me good luck for grand opening Nusr-Et Boston this weekend,” he wrote on his Instagram page, while making eyes at a stack of pancakes.

Gökçe opened the first Nusr-Et steakhouse in Turkey in 2010, and the Nusr-Et brand has since grown to 15 locations of both steakhouses and burger joints, with U.S. locations in New York City and Miami. Boston will be its 16th outpost.

So what’s on the menu at the Back Bay newcomer? If it’s anything like other Nusr-Et steakhouses, meat will be the main focus: beef carpaccio and smoked rib eye, marinated sliced beef and steak tartare, tomahawk steak and meatballs.

And salt. There will probably be plenty of salt.

Stay tuned for more information on opening hours at Nusr-Et Boston.
