Maybe it’s because we all need a little more pep in our step in 2021; maybe it’s because getting back into the swing of things after the holidays is just so hard. Whatever the reason, Dunkin’ has introduced a revved-up beverage designed to help us all get through this year — or at least give us a necessary jolt.

Launched on Dec. 30, Extra Charged Coffee, which can be ordered hot or iced, boasts 20 percent more caffeine than Dunkin’s classic coffee, using green coffee extract to supply the additional kick. To give fans an incentive to try the new drink, the Canton-based chain is offering medium Extra Charged Coffees for $2 through Jan. 26.

Buzzed-up coffee isn’t the only new thing on the Dunkin’ menu this year. The company added two new coffee options to its roster: Dunkin’ Midnight, billed as the brand’s darkest roast, and Explorer Batch, a medium roast that’s part of Dunkin’s Limited Batch Series.

Wondering which new addition to try first? A My Dunkin’ Mood Quiz is available through Jan. 31, taking customers through a series of questions before spitting out a recommended drink. (A bonus: Anyone who participates can enter to win one of five prizes, including $5,000, Dunkin’ coffee for a year, and more.)

Or order them all. If Ben Affleck can juggle multiple Dunkin’ drinks, so can you.
