Tree worker in critical condition after getting shocked in Holliston

A tree worker received a severe electrical shock in Holliston this morning after his cutting equipment came in contact with a power line, police said.

Police received a report of the injury from the burned man’s co-workers around 9 a.m., said Holliston Police Chief John Moore. The worker, 26, was contracted by a private resident to clear brush at the corner of Appleyard Lane and Shaw Farm Road, where the accident occurred.

The man was transported by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious burn injuries. He remains in critical condition, Moore said.
