Joyce Linehan’s annual “First Soup” party always draws an eclectic crowd, a cross section of folks from the worlds of music, arts, and politics. But with her appointment as Mayor Marty Walsh’s chief of policy, Linehan’s guest list has grown longer. “I have a lot of new friends,” Joyce joked as her Dorchester digs, dubbed “Ashmonticello,” filled with familiar faces Sunday afternoon. Among those paying their respects were Walsh, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Attorney General Martha Coakley, state Senator Linda Dorcena Forry, state Representative Dan Cullinane, Councilor at-large Ayanna Pressley, Coakley’s rival Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Juliette Kayyem, rocker Thalia Zedek, PR pro Colette Phillips, ArtsEmerson executive director Rob Orchard, consultant Priscilla Douglas, and Boston Children’s Museum CEO Carole Charnow.
