3 orphaned bear cubs found after mother killed in car crash
NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. (AP) โ Three orphaned bear cubs have been rescued after their mother was killed in a car crash this weekend.
Andrew Timmins, New Hampshire’s bear project leader, tells WMUR-TV the bear was killed Sunday. With each day since her death, one cub was rescued by the Fish and Game Department in North Woodstock, in cooperation with police.
Timmins said the cubs are in good health, but still need care. He said they were taken to the state’s bear rehabilitator, Ben Kilham, of Lyme.
Kilham will keep the cubs for the winter and release them in the spring. He said they are reunited and are very happy.
