A herd of buffalo broke loose from a New Hampshire farm
Police in Gilford, New Hampshire put out quite the advisory to local drivers Tuesday afternoon on Facebook:
“CAUTION: Please drive safely in the area of the Rt. 3/11 Bypass and Rt. 11A areas as officers are on scene attempting to corral a herd of bison that have gotten loose from a local farm.”

Police in the town on Lake Winnipesaukee first received calls about the buffalo at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, dispatcher Timothy Doris told Boston.com. He said units later responded to assure public safety.
Doris said it was unknown early Tuesday evening how many buffalo escaped, though he said the farm had 25. In a Tuesday evening Facebook post, police said “all of the bison have been located and are now back home safely at Bolduc Farm.”

According to Doris, there had been no reports of injuries to people or property damage.
Multiple residents shared photos and videos of the loose buffalo on the police department’s Facebook page.
