It’s that time of the year again, when everyone reviews the books they’ve read since January and picks their favorites.

On Thursday, staff members at the Boston Public Library released their picks for the best reads of 2022. The titles recommended by the staffers of the public library system range across genres — from fantasy to nonfiction to historical romance — and are not limited to just books published in 2022.

“We hope this list inspires you to keep reading!” the library wrote.
