Allstate Insurance Company hiring agents as auto insurance sales grow

Allstate Insurance Company plans to significantly increase its Massachusetts workforce by the end of 2014 by hiring an additional 130 insurance agents.

Allstate is seeing demand for its products increase, particularly in the sales of auto insurance policies, according to company officials.

Allstate entered the Massachusetts market after Governor Deval Patrick’s administration in 2008 eased regulations and started to allow carriers to set their own auto insurance rates. Several other national insurance companies, including Geico and Progressive, have also entered the Massachusetts market in recent years.

Allstate opened its first Massachusetts office in October 2012 and has since expanded to more than 18 locations throughout the state with than 40 employees. The company plans to open another 30 offices in the next year.
