The developers of One North of Boston said that the new $50-million building of 230 rental apartments in Chelsea will be ready for occupancy in April.

Nearly half the building’s units are one-bedroom apartments; rents for a one-bedroom start at $1,480, said the developers, Gate Residential Properties and TransDel Corp.

Gale Residential and TransDel said they are stepping up their efforts to pre-lease apartments.

Apartments feature gourmet kitchens with quartz countertops, a stainless appliance package, and contemporary cabinetry. Interiors offer custom touches including resin infused bamboo flooring and oversized windows, “perfect for taking in the views of the Boston skyline,’’ the developers said.

“We are excited to introduce One North of Boston, and we look forward to connecting with potential residents and the community to showcase these unique amenities and vibrant neighborhood setting,’’ Damian Szary of Gate Residential said in a statement.  “Throughout the entirety of the design and building process, we focused on a new style of living that reflects the up-and-coming city of Chelsea.’’

Onsite tours for potential residents can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
