Taco Bell has a new iteration of the burrito ready to join the fray of Mexican dishes battling for the hearts and stomachs of Boston burrito lovers.

It’s the quesarito, a burrito hybrid slated to make its highly-anticipated debut Monday on Taco Bell menus nationwide.

The dish features rice, chipotle sauce, and a choice of meats wrapped in, you guessed it, a delectable quesadilla.

A quesarito also includes reduced fat (!!) sour cream. Thank goodness. As though the 620 plus calories crammed into that succulent, little quesadilla weren’t enough.

Taco Bell has been testing the dish since February at its Oklahoma City locations, where quesaritos have been flying off the shelves.

The LA Times reports that quesarito sales may even rival those of Doritos Locos Tacos, which claimed the title of most popular Taco Bell dish of all time.

The company also released a breakfast quesarito outfitted with eggs, instead of rice. Nothing like a hearty meal of nacho cheese to sit, rocklike, at the bottom of your stomach throughout a long day at the office.

A quesarito comes at the suggested retail price of $1.99 for seasoned beef, $2.79 for shredded chicken, and $2.99 for steak.
