Whether or not you’re a Comcast customer, you may already know: they’re not super popular.
The cable and internet giant has repeatedly ranked as one of the most-hated companies in America, but sometimes their customers can be a bit unreasonable themselves. This week, one of the company’s fees allegedly made an Albuquerque woman so angry she ultimately pulled a gun on one of its employees.
A serviceman told police that Gloria Baca-Lucero, 48, took one of his tool bags hostage after she was informed a service call he made to her home Monday would not be free.
According to a police report made available online by Ars Technica, Baca-Lucero told the employee that his supervisor would need to come pick up the bag. When the victim objected, Baca-Lucero said she “went back inside the house and…came out of the house onto her porch with the handgun and pointed it in the air,’’ asking the employee if he would “leave now.’’
The victim told police he put his hands up and told Baca-Lucero he was leaving. Both left the porch and called 911, according to the report.
Baca-Lucero faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, The Albuquerque Journal reports.
It’s unclear whether any fees were waived.
