BELMONT, Mass. (AP) — A commuter train has derailed just outside of Boston, but there were no reports of injuries.
The company that runs the commuter rail system for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority says the inbound train experienced an “upright derailment” at about 8 a.m. Tuesday just outside Waverley Station at the Belmont/Waltham line.
Television video showed one train wheel off the track. The MBTA only said the train experienced a “mechanical issue.”
