Small fire near tracks disrupts Orange Line service
Commuters were told to expect delays of over 20 minutes.
MBTA Orange Line service between Oak Grove and Community College was replaced with shuttle buses Friday afternoon after a small fire broke out in the track area between the Wellington and Malden Center stations, officials said.

The fire was reported around 3:10 p.m., and power to the third rail was shut off, MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo told Boston.com in an email.
A fire has been confirmed in the track area. Passengers evacuated from the train to wellington. 3rd rail power was deactivated.

Passengers evacuated from the train and walked toward Wellington, he said.
