The driver of a Honda Civic was arrested on Sunday night after police say he drove the wrong way on Route 6 in Sandwich.
State Police received several reports of a driver going eastbound in the westbound lane of Route 6 on Sunday night. The vehicle then made a U-turn and began driving in the right direction before a trooper pulled over the vehicle in Bourne, police said.
Salustriano Dasilva, 44, of Fall River, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, his second offense. He also was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and going the wrong way on a state highway.
Dasilva was held on $2,500 bail and was unable to make bail.
