Two people injured in Dorchester shooting
Police say two men were hospitalized after a shooting in Dorchester Tuesday night.
Police responded to a shooting at 9:47 p.m. near the Ashmont T Station. When they arrived at the scene, they found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
“He was coherent enough to tell us a second victim was involved,” said Officer Stephen McNulty at the Boston Police Department.
The man was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers searched the area for the second victim, but couldn’t find him. It turns out the second victim had driven himself to a hospital, McNulty said. His injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
There is no information on the shooter at this time. Police are investigating.
