Teen wanted in connection with Rowley shooting turns himself in

ROWLEY, Mass. (AP) — Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy who they say shot one teenager and fired at another near a shopping center in Rowley.

The suspect turned himself in Wednesday evening.

Police say they received a report Sunday of shots fired near a shopping plaza. As they searched the area, a teen walked into the police station and told officers that he had been shot at in that vicinity. A few minutes later, officers at the scene were approached by an 18-year-old man who said that he had been shot once in the leg.

The unidentified 16-year-old faces numerous charges including assault with intent to murder. He’s being held at a juvenile detention facility pending his arraignment on Thursday. His bail has been set at $500,000.
