Thief stops for candy bar after robbing Malden convenience store

Police are looking for two thieves who stole lottery tickets, cigarettes,  and $1,500 from a Malden store during an unarmed robbery. Surveillance video shows one thief also grabbed a candy bar on the way out.

The incident happened on May 23 just after 8:30 p.m. at N&B Market, according to Malden police. Two suspects entered the store and took the store clerk to the storeroom before stealing the items.  The Malden Police Department posted the surveillance video on YouTube Thursday.

Police describe one suspect as a black man between 5-foot-8-inches and 6-foot-2-inches tall, with a light complexion and possible mustache. The other suspect is described as a black woman between 30 and 40 years old, between 5-foot-3-inches to 5-foot-8-inches tall, wearing a black winter coat, black sunglasses, and black gloves. Both wore winter coats with the hoods up. Due to the way the hood covered the man’s face, police say they could not determine his age.
