Woman driving wrong way on I-93 faces drunken driving charge
A Townsend woman was driving the wrong way on I-93 after consuming nearly four times the legal limit of alcohol, authorities say.

Jessica Powers, of Townsend, was arrested for DUI.
The incident happened just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say Jessica Powers, 41, had a blood alcohol level of .29 percent.
She was driving a red Mazda the wrong way on I-93 southbound near exit 17 in Canterbury, N.H., police say. Several alarmed drivers called police to report the incident.
Powers was released on personal recognizance bail and taken to the Merrimack County Jail, where she was held for protective custody.
