Police searching for woman caught on camera stealing Donald Trump campaign sign in Marblehead

Police are searching for a woman who stole a Donald Trump campaign sign from a Marblehead front yard Tuesday night.

Surveillance footage captured the woman outside of a Harbor Avenue home just after 10:20 p.m. In the video, she quickly pulls the sign from the ground and jumps into a car’s backseat as the driver pulls away.

Police said this is the seventh incident of theft or vandalism involving a political campaign sign on the street.

“Regardless of political affiliations, trespassing on private property and the taking of something that doesn’t belong to you (which under MA law is considered Larceny) can land a person in court with hefty fines, the possibility of jail time and a criminal record,” police wrote in a Facebook post. “Clearly the woman depicted here is old enough to know better!”
