Man fatally shot in Dorchester identified

A man who was fatally shot in Dorchester on September 20 has been identified by police.

Jonathan Cardoso, 21, of Dorchester was shot around 8:06 p.m. in the area of 55 Downer Ave., Boston police said in a statement Thursday.

Officers located the victim and transported him to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call 617-343-4470.
