Police are seeking a man who allegedly robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon in Stoneham.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a Salem Five Bank at 88 Main St. for a report of a robbery, police said in a statement.
A man, who was in the bank for about one minute, demanded money from the teller, according to police. Although he did not show a weapon, the suspect allegedly threatened that he had a gun.
He then fled on foot before police arrived toward Marie Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The suspect was described as around 6 feet tall, with a thin build and deep voice, according to the statement. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, dark sunglasses, a green hooded coat zipped all the way up, blue jeans, black gloves, and black sneakers.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force at 857-386-2000 or police at 781-438-1215.
