Man dies in Dorchester shooting

A man died in a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon in Dorchester, Boston police said in a statement.

Around 2:55 p.m., officers responded to the area of 49 Bullard St. for a report of a person shot.

Police said they found a man, believed to be in 20s, at the scene suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries, according to the statement.
