Police arrest man in connection with Downtown Boston stabbing

Police said they have arrested a man in connection with an early Sunday morning stabbing in Downtown Boston, which left a man with serious injuries.

Joseph Porter, 47, of Boston, will be charged with assault with intent to murder, police said. He allegedly stabbed a man at about 1:40 a.m. in the area of 69 Bromfield St.

The victim remains hospitalized while he continues to recover, but is expected to survive, police said.
