Police are seeking to identify a suspect in a South End sexual assault involving a juvenile

The incident happened in the Hammond Street area on Saturday evening, authorities said.

Boston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile in the South End Saturday evening.

Authorities responded to a radio call around 6:46 p.m. reporting a sexual assault inside a hallway near Hammond Street, according to a statement.

Officers spoke with the victim, a female juvenile, at the scene. The suspect was described as a white, Hispanic man in his 20s, with a slim build, who is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray sweatsuit, according to police.
