1 person shot near Jackson Square MBTA station, said to have life-threatening injuries

Police are continuing to investigate what happened.

One person was shot near the Jackson Square T station in Jamaica Plain on Tuesday afternoon, and their injuries appear life-threatening, according to Boston police.

Officials were called to the scene near 265 Centre St. around 3:11 p.m., police said. No further details were being released.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police warned motorists to avoid the area.
