Quincy man allegedly head butts Red Line train window, threatens passengers not to tell

A Quincy man allegedly head butted a Red Line train window Thursday morning and then threatened other passengers if they told police, according to officials.

Transit police said Daniel Simmons, 25, told officers who responded to Andrew Square station around 8 a.m. that he had become angry during a cell phone conversation and reacted by head butting the window. 

The train window had “a large spider web crack,” according to police. Simmons is facing a malicious destruction of property over $250 charge.
