23-year-old Norwood man charged in crash that killed 22-year-old brother

The pair was in a single-car crash on Route 1A Sunday morning, police say.

A 22-year-old man died after the car his brother was allegedly driving while drunk crashed on Route 1A in Norwood early Sunday morning, police said.

Authorities Monday identified the driver as Treorv Wrensford, 23, of Norwood, and the passenger, his brother, as Tresor Wrensford, also of Norwood.

Local police and fire departments responded to the single-car crash at the Walpole Street (Route 1A) and Davis Avenue intersection around 3 a.m. Sunday, Norwood police said in a statement posted on Facebook.

Tresor Wrensford died Sunday while his brother was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries, according to officials.

Police did not provide details of the crash, which authorities say is under investigation by Norwood police, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office, Massachusetts State Police, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.


Treorv Wrensford faces charges of motor vehicle homicide by operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor, operating under the influence of liquor, operating negligently, failure to stay within marked lanes, and speeding, according to police.

He was scheduled to be arraigned in Dedham District Court Monday morning.
