Victim of stabbing in East Boston Sunday has died, police say

Police are asking anyone who may know anything about what happened to contact them.

The victim of a stabbing that happened early Sunday morning in East Boston has died, Boston police say. 

Police responded to the scene in the vicinity Chelsea Street around 1:55 a.m. Sunday after a call for a stabbing in the area. A man was found suffering from a stab wound and taken to a nearby hospital. He died Wednesday, police said.

On Monday, police were looking to identify several people in connection with the case.

Police are asking anyone who may know anything about what happened to contact them.
