Man arrested in connection with South End assault that caused ‘life-threatening injuries’

The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9.

A 40-year-old Weymouth man is facing multiple charges in connection with an assault that reportedly left a man with life-threatening injuries in the South End on Feb. 9, Boston police said

Michael Kenney turned himself in around 4:05 p.m. Tuesday; he is being charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and assault and battery. Police had obtained a warrant for his arrest in connection with the incident, they said.

Police were called to the scene near Harrison Avenue and Fay Street around 2:45 a.m. that Saturday for a man yelling for help. Police were unable to find any suspects at the time but released photos of four persons of interest in the days that followed.
