Police are calling for the public’s help in identifying a man in connection to a Roxbury stabbing in January that left a 70-year-old man dead.

Boston police posted photos and surveillance video footage online Wednesday of the man.

According to a statement, officers responded to a radio call for a medical emergency near 49 Blue Hill Ave. around 9:57 p.m on Jan. 12.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a man — later identified as Edward Mowring, of Roxbury — had been stabbed multiple times, police said.

Mowring was declared dead at the scene, according to authorities.

A video police posted shows the man who they are seeking to identify walking that night approximately 10 minutes ahead of when law enforcement officers responded to the call. The man can be seen wearing a dark-colored jacket with a hood.
