Man with gun robs Arlington bank, police say

Arlington police are searching for a man who robbed a bank at gunpoint Thursday morning.

Police say the man walked into the Leader Bank at 141 Mass. Ave., revealed a black handgun, and demanded money at about 9 a.m.

“The suspect fled on foot with a quantity of cash,” officers said in a release. “The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, approximately 5’8″ to 5’10”. He was wearing a black mask, black hooded sweatshirt, purple rubber gloves, baggy blue jeans and gray sneakers.”

Police shared three surveillance images of the suspect. Those who can identify the man are asked to contact the Arlington Police Department at 781-643-1212.
