A man has been arrested in connection with a body found in the woods in Worcester

Police have identified the victim.

Worcester police have identified the body found off Granite Street earlier this week, and a man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Rafael Guzman, 35, of Worcester, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact of murder, according to the Worcester Police Department.

The deceased was identified as Benjamin Pacheco, 30, police said. Pacheco was found to have a wound to his neck, according to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, citing court documents. His body was covered in a blanket and bubble wrap.

Firefighters were originally called to the scene around 6 a.m. Tuesday for a fire in the woods near 277 Granite St. Police were then called when the body was found.
