Man dies of gunshot wound after Dorchester shooting

The man's identity has not yet been released.

A man died after an apparent shooting Monday night in Dorchester, according to Boston police.

Officers found the man, who was suffering from a gunshot wound, just before midnight in the lobby of the Ramada by Wyndham Boston hotel at 800 Morrissey Blvd. 

He was taken to a local hospital where he later died, according to a release.

The shooting is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Boston police homicide detectives at (617) 343-4470.
