Two arrested after reportedly tying 3 men up with zip ties in armed home invasion

Police are still searching for other possible suspects.

Two men were arrested Sunday after an alleged armed home invasion in Hyde Park. They’re accused of entering a home, tying three men up with zip ties, and attempting to rob them.

Police arrived at the scene, which was in the area of of 27 Business Terrace, around 9 p.m. 

The caller was still on the phone with dispatch when officers arrived, according to a release. The caller told the dispatcher there were several armed suspects in the home that had tied up at least one man. 

Officers found one of the alleged would-be robbers hiding under a staircase in the back of the building. Larry Green, 38, of Dorchester, was arrested. 19-year-old Dejon Barnes of Worcester was also arrested after officers found him in a nearby parking lot.


Police found zip ties, latex gloves, and three handguns at the scene.

The Boston Police Department is still working to identify “any possible remaining suspects,” according to the release.

Green and Barnes’ charges include home invasion, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, and assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
