UMass Amherst campus police are searching for three men they say assaulted a man and left him with “significant head injuries.”

Police were called to the scene at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Sunset Avenue around 5:07 p.m. on Oct. 26. There, they found the victim, who couldn’t give police details on what happened, and was “immediately” brought to the hospital, authorities said.

Witnesses provided descriptions of the alleged suspects, all of whom are white, college-aged men. The “main aggressor,” according to police, was wearing a gray, plaid, long-sleeve flannel shirt, jeans, and a Carhartt winter hat. Police don’t have much information on the other two suspects, except that they were wearing hoodies.
