Police searching for woman after shots fired in Lowell

Lowell police are searching for a Newburyport woman who allegedly fired multiple shots early Saturday morning on Middle Street.

No one was injured by the gunfire, police said, but property was damaged.

Alanna McCabe, 25, is accused of firing the shots around 1 a.m., according to a release. A warrant has been issued for her arrest, and she is considered armed and dangerous.

McCabe is facing charges including unlawfully carrying a gun and discharging it within 500 feet of a building.
