A woman was shot while in a car in Hudson on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. on Howe Street, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, and the preliminary investigation found the shots were fired into the vehicle. The woman was taken to an area hospital, officials said. Her condition has not been released.
As a precaution, Camela A. Farley Elementary School was locked down after the shooting and some buses at David J. Quinn Middle School were suspended, according to the DA’s office. Parents at the school were notified.
State and local authorities are investigating the shooting. No arrests had been made as of Friday morning.
