The incident reportedly happened around noon at a Mobil gas station.

Both the victim and alleged shooter are dead following an incident at a Mobil gas station in Saugus Friday, according to the Essex District Attorney’s Office.

Saugus police responded around noon on Friday to reports of a shooting at the 2 Essex Street gas station. There they found a victim suffering from serious gunshot wounds. After being transported to the Massachusetts General Hospital, the victim died from his injuries.

The suspect, a 63-year-old man, allegedly fled the gas station in a 2016 white Mini Cooper and was later found dead in his car at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
